Grand Opening of the First Self-service CNG Filling Station in Croatia

October 26, 2021: The first self-service filling station for compressed natural gas was officially opened in Croatia. The value of the investment is HRK 3,700,000 without VAT, and Macel plin d.o.o. had the role of contractor and supplier of mechanical works and equipment.

The use of compressed natural gas energy means significant financial savings, from 30 to 40%, compared to vehicles powered by gasoline and diesel engines. The newly built pressurized natural gas filling station is located in a good traffic position, ie near important roads – the A3 motorway (Bregana – Zagreb – Lipovac) and the state road D5 (connecting Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Dalibor Bukvić, director of Brod-plin, presented the investment and its significance for Slavonski Brod at the opening, and the technological aspect of the operation of the filling station was explained by Krešimir Marijanović, project manager for the construction of a pressurized natural gas filling station. The filling station was officially opened by Mayor Mirko Duspara and congratulated Brod-plina on the project, emphasizing that the new filling station will contribute to reducing air pollution in Slavonski Brod and encourage citizens to use more environmentally friendly energy sources.

The working hours of the filling station are from 0 to 24 hours, and it is located at 7 Trešnjica Street. Since the filling station is fully automated and self-service, payment is only possible with bank cards.
