Macel Plin at the 39th International Scientific and Expert Meeting of Gas Professionals in Opatija

meeting of gas professionals

The international scientific and expert meeting of gas professionals will be held from May 8th to 10th, 2024, at the Grand Hotel Adriatic Congress Center in Opatija. The event is organized by the Croatian Gas Association (HSUP), a member of the International Gas Union (IGU), and the Croatian Gas Center. It is the largest gas conference in Central and Southeastern Europe.

This year’s conference will bring together over 500 gas and energy experts from more than 20 countries, including 50 distinguished speakers and 30 exhibitors.

As part of the event, Macel Plin Ltd. will showcase its solutions and services and participate in two roundtable discussions featuring presentations by Hrvoje Rukavina and Jan Sietsma. Our colleagues will provide valuable insights into relevant lecture topics.

During the conference, experts will discuss various topics related to natural gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and low-carbon solutions. They will also participate in interactive panel discussions on the latest topics on the gas economy and energy.

The conference will include roundtable discussions and panel discussions on market trends in natural gas and the future of low-carbon energy systems, where leading experts from Croatian gas companies will provide insights and answers to current questions.

Macel Plin Products

PLEXOR®

The functionality of the main components of the pressure regulation station is carefully tested using the portable PLEXOR® device, which is easy to operate. The PLEXOR® device is connected to the pressure regulation station using specially designed system connectors that are permanently installed in the pressure regulation stations (BMA05, BMA06, and BDA06 for PN100. BMA04, BMA10, and BDA10 for PN16).

The main feature of the PLEXOR inspection system is its ability to significantly reduce methane emissions during the functional inspection and maintenance of gas pressure regulation stations.

KPPP: Compressor unit for natural gas pumping

The compressor unit transfers natural gas from the pipeline and prevents its release into the atmosphere during maintenance, repairs, or construction work. Instead, the gas is redirected to the same or neighboring pipeline, preserving the environment.

This fully integrated system, mounted on a heavy steel frame and fixed on a semitrailer, represents the most advanced solution for handling natural gas. Its plug-and-play design and advanced gas recovery system improve operational efficiency and set a new standard for environmentally responsible industrial practices.

Works on the gas pipeline without interruption of supply

The pigging process is utilized to perform pipeline operations without causing any disruptions to the supply. Pigging includes hot tapping work and creating a bypass line for gas flow.
