Macel plin d.o.o. and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture collaborated on the project Development of filters for natural gas dryers by powder metallurgy and prototyping.
The filter in the dryers must ensure a sufficient flow of natural gas with a small pressure drop while stopping the zeolite particles. Due to these conditions, one of the most modern technologies for shaping finished products, powder metallurgy, has been applied.
In powder metallurgy, powder particles bond together at high temperatures, resulting in the formation of a solid piece. Bronze powder was used in this project. A bronze of higher granulation marked 600/1000 was used to make the filter body. The threaded part is made of bronze of smaller granulation marked 150/250.
In cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture Macel plin d.o.o. strengthened capacity for research and development of new products.
The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development
