We are proud to announce that, through the joint efforts of the companies Feromihin d.o.o. and Macel Plin d.o.o., a significant donation of materials and professional work has been secured for the “Our Children” Society in Zabok. This has enabled and completed the construction of a bypass gas pipeline—a key infrastructural network that is a prerequisite for the future construction of the PIK PAK children’s home.
The project is a tangible contribution to the community, particularly for children, who will soon have a safe and modern place to grow up, play, and learn.
The work on installing the bypass gas pipeline began this Monday, near the Zabok Gymnasium and the KTC store. It was completed on Thursday with the final connection. Once all infrastructural prerequisites are met, this gas pipeline will ensure a secure energy flow for the future children’s home, whose construction is expected in the coming years.
The construction of the PIK PAK children’s home is a significant project for the “Our Children” Society in Zabok
“The first major challenge in constructing the PIK PAK house for the ‘Our Children’ Society in Zabok was the relocation of the large gas pipeline, a condition for even starting the construction. We are especially grateful to the companies Macel Plin d.o.o. and Feromihin d.o.o., who helped us with this and demonstrated socially responsible business practices and a genuine desire to support good projects. Our vision is that PIK PAK will be a house that children, as well as the entire community, will recognize as ‘their own’—a house that will be a place of creativity and where various activities will take place, from play therapy for children with difficulties, a film club, to a music room. We are confident that this is the beginning of a collaboration that will help provide children with a carefree and happy childhood and upbringing,” stated Jasenka Borovčak, Secretary of the DND.
We are proud to have had the opportunity to be one of the official donors of this important project and contribute to a community vision that supports the youngest. Every step toward securing better conditions for children is an investment in the future of the entire community.
“Participating in a project that directly helps children and the community was an honor and pleasure. The bypass gas pipeline we installed is a technical challenge and our contribution to a larger goal: creating a safe space for the youngest generations. This donation is significant to us because we know how much the PIK PAK children’s home will mean to the children and families in Zabok and beyond. We are happy to be part of this story and to be able to say that we actively participated in a project that will benefit the community for years to come,” emphasized Jadranka Novotni from Macel Plin d.o.o. and Mario Matanić from Feromihin d.o.o.
Although we completed the work on the gas pipeline on Thursday, the actual contribution to the community and children has yet to come with the realization of this house, which will be a safe space for play, education, and growth.
The donation to DND Zabok is part of our ongoing effort for both of our Pico Flow Controls group companies to support local communities and projects that help those who matter most, which are the children. We look forward to being a part of this significant project and are excited about continuing our collaboration with the “Our Children” Society on all future initiatives that contribute to a better future for our youngest, on whom the future rests.
