The company Macel Plin d.o.o. has successfully undergone an expansion of accreditation by the Croatian Accreditation Agency (HAA) by the HRN EN ISO 17020:2012 standard as a Type C Inspection Body for testing safety valves.
This successful accreditation results from the dedicated work of the Quality Management Representative and the other inspection team members.
Macel Plin d.o.o. was previously working on expanding the scope of accreditation for testing safety valves up to 400 bar. The certification is issued for five years and requires HAA to monitor it annually. A mobile testing station is used to test safety valves, including a testing table, of which the company Macel Plin owns several.
The use of power packs facilitates the testing process. These hydraulic units, suitable for oil, water, or aggressive media, are designed to generate operating pressures of up to 7,000 bar (101,000 psi). They are versatile and can be used for a wide range of testing, bolt tensioning, clamping, or other functions that require a specific test pressure.
Inspection activities for pressure equipment are conducted by the Regulation on Inspections and Testing of Pressure Equipment (NN 75/2020). Safety valves are tested every two years, except for CNG filling stations, which are tested annually by the special regulation for CNG filling stations.
This significant step confirms Macel Plin d.o.o.’s commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in its operations.
*The Croatian Accreditation Agency (HAA) was established to implement technical legislation in the Republic of Croatia to ensure quality, reduce business risks, and increase competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
